How Do the
Circuits Work ?

Phase 2:
Brain Training Therapy

Brain training, also known as neurofeedback, acknowledges that when we experience a stressful or traumatic event our brain goes into a pattern to help us survive called flight/fight or freeze. If the brain is stuck in one of these disturbing patterns, you may experience anxiety, depression, insomnia, inability to cope, etc.

While relaxing, the brain training software monitors the brain using non-invasive sensors attached to your scalp and when

a stress pattern is detected, there is an audible break in the music recognized as a skip or pause. This interruption invites the brain to naturally self-correct, returning to an optimal state of balance and function. The better your brain functions, the better you function

Brain training works by alerting your automatic functioning part of the brain to its own actions (this part controls the fear response, fight/flight/freeze, sleep, attentiveness, executive functioning, etc.) so it can “see” its own maladaptive patterns. Because the brain is designed to be responsive to new information, when the Brain Training System alerts the brain to its own functioning, the brain will naturally tweak itself to be the most efficient and effective response. It’s as if the brain, upon being alerted to its own behavior says “hey, I’m about to produce a stress response when I’m sitting in a safe space. That is not an efficient or an appropriate response. I’m going to change what I’m doing.”
